My Personal Goals for the Next 6 Months

Put Away 10% From My Income Into Savings for a House Each Paycheck

My husband Derrek and me have a goal to move (hopefully somewhere out west) within the next two years. You have to build up a savings for that! Now that he is home from deployment, we both can get on a normal routine and start putting away a consistent amount of money again!

Earn Continuing Education in Personal Training

I am always looking to expand my knowledge in my field, because you can never know too much information! My main goal is to either earn another certification to compliment my main personal trainer certification, earn the NASM Personal Trainer Certification, or even get my Online Personal Trainer Certification (yes, they have those) !

I already have a Personal Trainer Certification from ISSA, but it is always good to expand into different organizaitons as they focus on different aspects of training such as more sports population or more of the general population. It all depends on your personal goals as a trainer.

Keep Up With A Solid Self Care Routine

Skincare, stress levels, getting enough water and sleep–all that good stuff. As a super busy society we tend to get away from the basics of our health even something so simple as rememebering to drink enough water. That’s why having personal goals of self care are more important then ever!

My Personal Goals for the Next 6 Months

My top things I plan on focusing on for my personal self care are:

  • Skin Care: Making sure I follow a solid washing and moisturizing routine daily and allowing myself to go makeup-free some days for the health of my skin!
  • Diet: Making sure I am getting enough vitamins and nutrients, eating whole foods to give me energy while allowing myself to splurge on sweet treats with no guilt.
  • Exercise: Making a goal to work out at least 4 times per week for about an hour, listening to my body accordingly. Also, making sure I am enjoying my workouts so I never get bored!
  • Attitude: Making sure I have a grateful and positive attitude going into each day putting my best foot forward and making the absolute most of each day.
  • Hobbies: Allowing time for hobbies that I enjoy to progress in other areas of my life.

Dive Deep Into My Hobbies

There are only so many hours in a day unfortunately, and you really have to organize your time to find time for hobbies. Especially the ones I have–all of them are fairly time consuming.

Blogging being one of them.

Other hobbies I enjoy are playing video games, reading books, and making art. Making art has been the largest struggle for me because you can put 20+ hours of work into one piece. That’s a lot of time and commitment!

Reading books has been my easiest hobby, I made a goal at the beginning of the year for myself to read 2 books a month. One informative book and one fictional book. This goal allowed me to get through the Harry Potter series pretty quickly.

As far as video games go, I find myself playing for at least 2 hours a day. I know it’s not necessarily a productive hobby but it certainly is something my husband and I like to do in our free time!

My Personal Goals for the Next 6 Months

I also love hiking and traveling–those are musts and happen whenever my husband and I are able! Usually at least once a month.

So, my biggest personal goals with hobbies is probably creating more physical art.

So, that concludes a list of my personal goals for the next 6 months. I think most of these are pretty attainable and that I may successfully accomplish some of these prior to the 6 months and some may take more than 6 months. It is a healthy mixture to work for!
